School Calendar

The Howard County Arts Center will be closed on Sept. 5, Nov. 24-25, Dec. 22-26, Jan. 1-2, Jan 16, Feb. 20, and May 28. There will be no classes on the above dates. There will be no evening classes Dec 27-30, as the Arts Center will be open for daytime hours only.

Preschool and Youth Classes 2011-2012

Youth Division classes are organized into three 12 week sessions. We ask that as you plan for the year, to think of the three sessions as a year long commitment. Tuition will be due the first week of each session. Scheduled breaks are built into the 12 week sessions. Due to Monday holidays and the needs of the Arts Council, the tuition rate for Monday classes is prorated. If you take a Monday class, please contact an administrator for your rate. Discount rates are also available for siblings.

Fall Session Tuesday, September 6- Sunday, December 4

No classes Oct 31; Fall Break: Nov. 22-27

Winter Session Monday, December 5- Sunday, March 11

Winter Break: Dec. 20- Jan 2; No Classes: Jan 16, Feb. 20

Spring Session Monday, March 12-Monday, June 11

Spring Break: April 2-8; No Classes: May 28

Adult Classes 2011-2012

Adult Division classes are offered throughout the calendar year. Classes at the Int/Adv level are ongoing when the youth division classes are on break. As an adult, you may chose to adhere to the youth schedule and payments or you may chose to purchase a 10 class card. With the class card, you are free to take class when you choose without the hassle of making up missed classes. Class cards expire 1 year from date of purchase.
